LA Times Festival of Books

What a fun time down at USC this weekend.

There were all kinds of activities for readers to enjoy.

There were plenty of things to do to keep those kids interested and loads of interesting reads to search through.  Whether you were perusing the rack at Hachette for the new Seth Grahame-Smith "Unholy Night"  or some of the really great independent publishing houses such as Akashic, who is having a blockbuster year with "Go The F**K To Sleep", the staff at each tent was hospitable and eager to point you in the direction of signed books.

Plenty of Authors were on hand to sign those books of yours.  Our favorite was Julie Andrews but felt a little silly in line buying "The Very Fairy Princess" since I'm a middle aged man.  It was great to see her onstage reading bits and pieces of her books and throwing out little factoids on princesses.  Does everyone know that there are only 75 princesses around the world?  We do now.  Thanks Julie!

and Thanks to Los Angeles Times.
